It's true
I’ll never forget sitting in my classroom after creating a few flyers for a fundraiser on Canva and thinking, "Woah, that was actually pretty enjoyable. I wonder if people get paid to do this?" LOL. That thought came and went quickly—I didn’t know much about graphic design back then, other than the fact that I liked it.
Fast forward a few years, a baby, & some super mom guilt later, while scrolling on social media, I stumbled across an ad about freelancing and becoming a virtual assistant. Cue the podcast binges, countless YouTube tutorials, and a ridiculous amount of iced coffee to help me learn all the things—until the day I finally found enough courage to convince my husband to let me take a course and quit teaching. Thankfully, he believed in me from day one. (Love you, babe!)
But my mission goes beyond creating “pretty” aesthetics. Light & Layne Creative is about empowering you to become the confident business owner you want to be. It’s about creating clarity in your vision, aligning your brand values, and building meaningful connections with your ideal clients. My goal is to create a community of women who feel empowered to build businesses they love.
When I’m not slumped over my laptop (poor posture probs), you can find me chasing around my two wild littles, sipping on- you guessed it- another coffee, crushing my legs at the gym, or planning my next country concert appearance.

I’m a junkie for a good marketing podcast, a problem solver at heart, and I’ve finally found a way to blend my unused Bachelor’s in Psychology with business and consumer behavior.
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of serving women across industries—online business, the beauty world, photography, and even the medical field—helping them with digital marketing, design, and social media management.
